Operating Conditions

• High Temperature: Typically up to 130140 C for dyeing synthetic fibers and tapes.

• High Pressure: Up to 5 bar (0.5 MPa) or slightly more depending on design.

• Bath (Liquor) Ratio: Very low liquor ratio (~1:6 to 1:9) bath ratio reduces water & chemical use and improves dye efficiency.

Capacity & Construction

• Batch Capacities: Range from small 510 kg units up to larger industrial machines (e.g., 500 kg or more).

• Material: Parts in contact with dye liquor are generally made from corrosion-resistant stainless steel (SS 316/316L) for durability at high T/P.

• Dyeing Tubes: Multiple tubes for parallel processing of coils/bobbins of zipper tape.

Circulation & Control

• Turbo/Centrifugal Pump: For dye liquor circulation (forward and backward flows to improve dye penetration).

• PLC/Computer Controls: Many modern models include programmable controllers for automatic dyeing sequences, temperature/pressure control, and timing.

• Frequency Inverter: Allows variable pump speed and better process control.

Safety & Efficiency

• Safety Interlocks: Pressure relief valves, safety locks, and automatic shutdown for safety.

• Heat Exchanger: Efficient internal or external heat exchangers to reduce energy use.

• Low MLR Designs: Lower liquor ratio means less dye, water, steam consumption and reduced effluent.
